Bible Study Questions and Readings
Love fulfills the law of Christian Science, and nothing short of this divine Principle, understood and demonstrated, can ever furnish the vision of the Apocalypse, open the seven seals of error with Truth, or uncover the myriad illusions of sin, sickness, and death. Under the supremacy of Spirit, it will be seen and acknowledged that matter must disappear.

Notes from the Discussion
The eye of faith sees differently than the eye of flesh; it sees better and more clearly; it sees the truth and the reality. The eye of faith turns away from the things of earth in order to look up on high and, like St. John, through an open door to gain a glimpse into heaven. Here below the peoples are shaken as dice in a cup, but up yonder faith perceives the Lamb as it had been slain, in the midst of the throne, having in his hand the book with the seven seals, and engaged in breaking these seals one by one.

THE PIE AND CHEESE (Edward Norwood Reminiscence, 52) Once Mrs. Eddy and a student had a luncheon in a Lynn cafe, and the menu read, a cut of pie and cheese 10 cents. When it came, there was no cheese. Mrs. Eddy asked the waiter for her cheese, and was told they were out of it. She asked that the proprietor be sent to her, and asked him, “Where is my cheese?” He also said they were out of it. She said, “Are there not stores near where you can get it, and thus carry out your word?” So, after a little talk, seeing she was determined, he sent out and got some cheese. To her student, who was listening with astonishment, she explained: “I care but little to have the cheese, but if I don’t correct error in stealing little things, it will steal bigger things,” and she gave the student a lesson. There is another version reporting that Mrs. Eddy said, “if I let it take my cheese, it will next take my life”—showing the importance of stopping error in the small things
